Fairway Outdoor Advertising Donates Billboards to Habitat for Humanity

May 20, 2008

Fairway Outdoor Advertising has donated an advertising package worth $14,950 to Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne County. The announcement was made today by Paul Hickman, general manager of Fairway.

The donated messages will run for approximately 12 months and utilize 24 billboards in Wayne County. Habitat for Humanity is hoping that the billboards will increase awareness and assist in recruiting volunteers. Also, some of the billboards will be aimed at promoting the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, which relies on donated items to maintain its inventory.

“Habitat for Humanity is a wonderful community program that serves the needs of many area families,” said Hickman. “We are so happy to support their efforts and promote this cause.”

Since 2001, the Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne County has built 20 homes in Wayne County. To find out more about making a donation or volunteering, please visit www.habitatgoldsboro.org .
