Michael Harrington, general manager for Resort Realty, one of the Outer Banks most innovative and dynamic companies, specializing in rentals, sales and property management of luxury vacation homes, announces today the firm's top performing agents for the first quarter. For the month of January, Rich Ellingham, an agent at the Duck office was a top agent. For the month of February, sales team Lauren Nelson and Steve Clarke, agents at the Duck office were named a top agent. And, for the month of March, Walter Stiff, an agent at the Corolla office was also named top agent.
"We would like to formally congratulate all of our top agents," said Harrington. "With more than 25 total sales agents in our four offices, it is truly an honor to be named one of the best and we are all proud of this quarter's top agents."
To be named a top agent at Resort Realty is a great accomplishment and requires going the extra distance to continually close homes sales in a one month time frame. Persons named to Resort Realty's list of top agents are required to sell more homes than all other Resort Realty agents in the entire Outer Banks market.
About the Agents:
Walter Stiff relocated from Charlotte and is currently living in Corolla. He joined Resort Realty after 20 years in Sales Management with an Atlanta rep group. Stiff began his career in sales with Procter and Gamble Company and brings his training and dedication to detail to our company. He is active in civic activities including the Suffolk Planning Commission and President of his Home Owners Association. Stiff joined Resort Realty in March of 2003.
Rich Ellingham and his wife Dawn started visiting the Outer Banks in 1996 and enjoyed it so much they bought a vacation property in Corolla within two months of their first visit. They moved here permanently in 1998 from Point Pleasant New Jersey and now reside in Currituck County on the mainland. Having retired from a 22 year career in law enforcement, Ellingham became a licensed Realtor in 1999 and joined Resort Realty in May of 2004.
Lauren Nelson was raised in Fairfax, Virginia and spent many summer vacations along the Outer Banks. A 1989 graduate of Virginia Tech, Nelson and her husband Rob enjoy exploring the Outer Banks with their children Olivia and Skylar. Nelson began working in real estate in 1999 and has helped many buyers and sellers make the most of their Outer Banks investments, combining her love of the area and thorough knowledge of the real estate market with a talent for client service. Nelson joined Resort Realty in our Duck office in September of 2003.
Steve Clarke, a native of Lexington, Kentucky spent a number of years in Florida as a PADI Scuba Instructor and water sports business owner. Within six months of his initial visit to the Outer Banks in 1992, Steve and his wife Angela had purchased their first OBX property. In 2003, Clarke and Lauren Nelson joined Resort Realty as a team in order to offer their clients the combined efforts and expertise of two dedicated real estate professionals. In addition to being the broker-in-charge of the Resort Duck office, Clarke was awarded the CRS designation by the North Carolina Real Estate Education Foundation. On a National level, only 19% of Realtors hold this prestigious designation.
