Cross + Associates Brings Home Gold Wallie Award

Abbeville Area Medical Center Television Campaign

Cross + Associates, a full service integrated marketing communications firm, won a gold Wallie Award for excellence in healthcare marketing. The announcement was made today by Juana Quick, Vice President for Strategic Development.

The annual awards are sponsored by the Carolinas Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society (CHPRMS) and include hospital marketers from across North and South Carolina. Winners are selected by a panel of healthcare professionals. The awards ceremony took place in December at the annual fall conference which was held at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville.


Cross + Associates won the gold award for the TV campaign the agency created for Abbeville Area Medical Center in Abbeville, S.C. The winning campaign can be viewed online at www.cross-a.com/clients/abbeville/television/.

Cross + Associates Recognized Nationally with Aster Award

Lenoir Memorial Hospital CampaignCross + Associates, a full-service marketing firm with offices in Raleigh and Columbia, S.C., has won a bronze Aster Award, for excellence in healthcare marketing. The firm won the award for a total advertising campaign created on behalf of Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.

The campaign features bright colors and simple headlines to make a statement in the community about all the hospital has to offer. Through the use of print, outdoor, television, and online advertising the campaign highlights a variety of the hospital’s service lines including Cancer Care, Cardiac Care, OB-GYN, and Ear, Nose and Throat.


“Lenoir Memorial has enjoyed a long and productive working relationship with Cross + Associates,” said Barbara LaRoque, marketing coordinator at Lenoir Memorial. “Through the years we have found their expertise to be invaluable. Their efforts have kept the hospital’s image fresh, and brand visible in our market.”

The Aster Awards, one of the largest competitions of its kind, is hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today and Creative Images, Inc. This elite national program recognizes outstanding healthcare professionals for excellence in their advertising/marketing efforts. 


This year, the Aster Awards consisted of approximately 3,000 entries from across America. Participant's entries competed against similar-sized organizations in their category. Entries must score at least in the top 85% to receive an award. Judging criteria includes creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.

Cross + Associates Recognized with Healthcare Advertising Awards

Centra Home Health BrochureHonored for excellence in healthcare marketing, Cross + Associates, a full-service marketing firm, received two Healthcare Advertising Awards. The announcement was made today by Bill Cross, President of Cross + Associates.

The firm won both awards for work designed for Centra Health--a gold award for a brochure for their home health division, and a bronze award for a magazine ad for their rehabilitation division. Centra health is a three-hospital health system based in Lynchburg, VA.

“We are honored to be recognized by one of our industry’s premier competitions,” said Cross. “Our agency prides itself on creating award-wining, strategic campaigns for our clients.”

The Healthcare Advertising Awards are sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report. The national competition is the oldest, largest, and most widely respected among healthcare marketing awards programs. This year marked the competition’s 28th year of existence. Winners were selected from a pool of nearly 4,000 entries, with judging based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact.

 


Cross + Associates Tapped to Promote First Night Raleigh

Cross + Associates has been selected for the second consecutive year to design the marketing campaign for Artsplosure’s First Night Raleigh. The announcement was made today by Michael Louder, executive director of First Night Raleigh.

“We look forward to working with Cross + Associates again this year,” said Louder. “We were really pleased with last year’s campaign and are excited to partner with them to promote our 20th year.”

As Artplosure’s marketing partner for First Night, Cross + Associates will design the logo, print ads, t-shirt, outdoor billboard, posters, buttons, and other collateral for the event. They will also develop radio and television advertisements.

This year marks the 20th anniversary for First Night Raleigh, which is the area’s largest family-oriented, alcohol-free New Year’s celebration.


Cross + Associates Selected to Produce Wallie Awards

This is the 4th consecutive year CHPRMS has chosen the agency. The announcement was made today by Margaret Gregory, president-elect of the society.

Suzanne Magnus Joins Cross + Associates

Suzanne MagnusCross + Associates, a full-service marketing agency, has hired Suzanne Magnus as senior account executive. The announcement was made today by Bill Cross, president and CEO of Cross + Associates.

“We’re thrilled to add Suzanne to our team,” said Cross. “She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, particularly in healthcare marketing and I’m confident that her addition will be of great value to our clients.”

Prior to joining Cross + Associates, Magnus served as the marketing director at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh for ten years and as the director of public affairs at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro for seven years. She most recently worked as an account manager team leader and director of public relations at The King Partnership in Raleigh.

Magnus is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and currently resides in Cary with her husband and their two children.

for Southern Regional Medical Center

Chad Martin Joins Cross + Associates

Cross + Associates, a full-service marketing agency, has hired Chad Martin as art director. The announcement was made today by Bill Cross, president and CEO of Cross + Associates.

Prior to joining Cross + Associates, Martin served as art director at Sperry & Associates in Raleigh. With nearly ten years of agency experience, he has worked on projects for nationally known brands such as Centex Homes and BMW.

Martin is a native of Raleigh, where he and his wife currently reside, and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.


Cross + Associates Brings Home 3 Wallie Awards

Wally AwardsCross + Associates, a full-service marketing agency, won 3 Wallie Awards for excellence in healthcare marketing at this year’s ceremony. The announcement was made today by William R. Cross, president and CEO of Cross + Associates.

The annual Wallie awards are sponsored by the Carolinas Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society (CHPRMS). Winners are selected by a panel of healthcare professionals. The award ceremony was held at the annual fall conference which took place last week in Asheville at the Grove Park Inn.

Cross + Associates won two awards on behalf of work completed for Rutherford Hospital in Rutherfordton; one gold for a print ad and one silver for a billboard. They also won a gold award for a print poster designed for a smoke-free campaign for Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital, located in Dunn.
